Temporary Closure of Foothpath 78 - August 7th for Six Months

The Essex County Council (Footpath 78, Ramsden Crays)  (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023

UPDATE - extension

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

Effect of the order:  To temporarily close to all pedestrians under section S14(1) of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended) Footpath 78, Ramsden Crays, in the Borough of Basildon, from a point 120 metres southwest of its junction with Footpath 78, Basildon, southwest for approximately 67 metres.  See map below.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 07 August 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required while construction works are undertaken.

The alternative route will be via the temporary route on proposed construction of diversion and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 07 August 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.
