Vacancy for Parish Councillor

We currently have a vacancy on the Parish Council. The Council can fill vacancies by co-option, whereby the Parish Councillors consider applications and can select a person to fill the role. 

Becoming a Parish Councillor involves being active in the decisions made for our local community including planning, environment, roads and transport.  No experience is necessary and training can be undertaken. 

The Parish Council meets at 7pm on the second Monday of the month at the Shepherd & Dog Pub, London Road, Crays Hill.

(The Small Print:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and a British Citizen, or an eligible Commonwealth or EU Citizen.  Applicants must also meet at least one of the following:

Be registered on the electoral roll.

Have occupied, as owner or tenant, land or other premises in the Parish during the whole of the last 12 months.

The main or only place of work during the last 12 months has been in the Parish.

Have lived in the Parish or within three miles of it during the whole of the past 12 months.)
