Safer Essex Roads Partnership - Extra Eyes

Extra Eyes is an initiative from the Safer Essex Roads Partnership that allows members of the public to submit dashcam, helmet-cam or other video footage of poor, dangerous or illegal road user behaviour witnessed on Essex roads. The footage is reviewed by Essex Police, and where the evidence meets the required criteria, action may be taken such as education, a fixed penalty notice or prosecution. The scheme supports the partnership’s wider aim of reducing collisions and casualties by using road users’ own “extra eyes” to help identify unsafe behaviour and make Essex roads safer.
